Assistance with Daily Living

Supporting your independence

Our Assistance with Daily Living programmes might help if you are able to care for yourself but need a little more assistance. When you receive daily living assistance, you remain in your own home. Depending on how much care you require, a member of the Challenge Disability Services team will pay you a visit in your home for a number of hours each week. Our knowledgeable and accommodating staff can assist you.

  • There are various ways we may support you, including helping you live freely in your own home while receiving guidance for daily tasks like preparing your favourite meal, learning basic cleaning techniques to stay organised, and perhaps even starting a vegetable garden.
  • Help with personal care tasks like grooming, medication administration prompts, and reminders to help you maintain good health
  • Establishing new friendships and acquiring social abilities to do so
  • learning how to keep safe at home with the support you need, whether it be a lot or a little
  • Helping each individual achieve their goals and enhance their talents
  • Assistance with setting financial objectives
  • Learn how to travel freely and with confidence, or get transportation assistance if necessary.

Is it possible for me to get help with daily activities?

We offer assistance to those with both modest and high requirements. Challenge Assistance with Daily Living programmes are only available to those who:

  • Age range of 16 to 65
  • Occupy a home of your own (not Supported Independent Living)
  • Have access to additional supports in your neighbourhood
  • Require more than 15 hours of personal assistance each week to perform daily chores
  • NDIS funds already, or we can assist you in obtaining it

You are welcome to participate in one of our community events if you are between the ages of 18 and 65 and have an intellectual disability or a brain injury. We can also assist you with budgeting and money management.
